Course Detail: AEXP-100 - FREE ONLINE AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN WORKSHOP



Join CCS Assistant Professor Jason White for a 90-minute workshop demonstrating how to illustrate a glossy red sports car. This session will explore fundamental visual communication principles, including light direction, highlights, bounced light, reflections, and sky tone. Each participant will receive a printable line drawing underlay to serve as the foundation for their own rendering.

Recommended for Middle School Students, High School Students, and Art Educators.

A zoom link will be provided one week before the workshop. 

Supplies to have on hand for January Workshop:

- 2 sheets of 11x17 clearprint vellum

- Several sheets of 11x17 paper under vellum for use as a drawing pad

- 1 black and 1 scarlet lake Verithin pencil

- 1 white,1 black and 1 scarlet lake Prismacolor pencil

- 1 chisel tip Copic R17 marker (lipstick orange)

- 1 chisel tip Copic R20 marker (blush)

- 3 chisel tip Copic tonal grey markers (T3, T4, T7)

- 1 chisel tip Copic 100 marker (black)

- Nupastels: red, purple, black

- Webril wipes or comparable cotton pads

- 1 1/8 inch flat watercolor brush

- 1 tube Winsor and Newton Permanent White gouache

- 1 white Staedtler eraser
