Course Detail: AEXP-068 - FASHION SEWING: BLAZERS AND JACKETS

Learn to tailor a bespoke, handmade blazer or jacket.  Students will work from a pattern and learn how to customize jackets  with linings,  notched collar and tailoring techniques,  for the perfect fit.  Students taking this advanced class should have already taken Sewing 1 or have some sewing experience.

Supplies required for the class: 
  • Commercial jacket/blazer pattern including printed directions.
  • Scissors
  • Tape measure, ruler.
  • Straight pins.
  • Hand sewing needles.
  • Seam ripper.
  • Marking utensil.
  • Sewing machine, needles and bobbins.
  • Thread
  • All fabrics, interfacing, and notions.
