Course Detail: PCSE-117 - PRODUCT DESIGN

Experience the challenge and excitement of designing your own concept car or product. Students interested in automotive design will Learn the fundamentals of gestural sketching and perspective for both interiors and exteriors, as well as how to translate designs into 3D models. Students interested in Product Design will follow the Design Thinking process and develop a product from ideation through prototyping. Students will receive feedback on their concepts from industry professionals.
At the end of this course students should be able to:
Develop original product concepts.
Sketch dynamic, proportionally accurate drawings using ideation and perspective techniques.
Construct basic form studies or mockups to explore shape, use, and physical presence.
Present design ideas and process work in a clear, compelling format for critiques.
Conduct visual and contextual research to inform design direction, form language, and user relevance.
