Also discussed: the general symptoms and epidemiology of blood-borne diseases; modes of transmission; tasks and other activities that may involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials; methods to prevent or reduce exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials; and selection, storage, use and disposal of personal protective equipment. You will also examine the components of the Blood-borne Exposure Control Plan.
