Over the last few years, thousands of backlogged sexual assault kits have been tested. These results provide the opportunity to deliver justice to survivors while increasing public safety in North Carolina communities. In this class, students will engage in the specifics of sexual assault cold cases and exposed to relevant approaches to successful investigation and prosecution of these crimes. It will build on experiences of law enforcement and prosecutors who have taken this challenge.
