This course will equip students the the knowledge and skills to safely handle firearms and to deliver accurate fire during shooting situations. Trainees must successfully attain a qualifying score of at least 70 percent accuracy on the Commission approved BLET courses for the handgun day and night. These qualification scores must be attained at least twice in three attempts. Students will receive hands-on training on a state approved firing range. Students will also participate in practical duty situation scenario's using approved departmental firearms.
