Training Information: CED-0838 - Basic Welding
This basic welding training starts with welding safety, a mandatory requirement for the use of the Vermont Tech Welding laboratory.

With a hands-on approach, participants will be introduced to MIG, STICK, and TIG welding techniques. The training will also cover the basics, including various types of metals and their properties with regard to welding; proper tank and pressure set up; what the ideal weld should look like; as well as what kind of defects occur that produce poor welds.
Participants will also have the opportunity to learn how to use a plasma cutter to accurately cut various types of metals.
LATE REGISTRATIONS: Registration closes two weeks prior to the training start date. Any registrations taking place from registration close up to 3 days prior to the start will be assessed a $50 late registration fee.
A charge of $75.00 will be assessed on cancellations occurring within 5 business days of the start of this session.
