This training will take the student into the advanced positions of vertical up and overhead welding of full penetration welds with backing and with open root.

This training consists of running stringer beads and weaves on steel plates to make fillet welds in all positions using different size electrodes. It will also cover the techniques for performing full penetration groove welds in the flat position using backing.
