Training Information: CED-0893 - Class A - Residential Onsite Wastewater Disposal Systems

Interested in becoming licensed to design residential wastewater disposal systems?

Vermont Tech, in association with the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources Department of Environmental Conservation, is offering a two-day workshop for those interested in becoming licensed to design residential wastewater disposal systems. 

This two-day workshop intends to prepare individuals to take the exam which covers the administrative rules for licensure as a Class A License Designer. This workshop is geared toward individuals with some professional experience and desire to obtain a Class A Wastewater Designer License. 

Participants will be introduced to the current State of Vermont Wastewater System and Potable Water Supply Rules:
1. Drafting techniques
  • Topographic maps
  • Site plans
  • Cross-sectional views
  • Bearings and distances
  • Well shields
2. Basic surveying terms
  • Coordinate geometry
  • Benchmark leveling
3. Basic soil terminology
  • Intro to soil texture terms
  • Soil percolation calculations
4. The Components of a residential wastewater system

April 28, 2023
June 23, 2023

REGISTRATION: Registration closes 2 weeks before the training start date. Any registrations from the initial close up to 5 days before the start will be assessed a $50 late registration fee. No registrations within 5 days of the training.  Any cancelations within 5 days of starting will be assessed a $75 cancelation fee. There will be no refunds given for no-shows.
