Training Information: CED-0851 - Field Description of Soils

Soils Training/Refresher on Field Description of Soils: Emphasis will be on important soil properties in the field related to soil drainage and on-site waste disposal including soil texture, color, redoximorphic features, soil structures and permeability.

Evaluate and identify soil characteristics using standards appropriate to Vermont wastewater system design. 

Upon completion, the participant is expected to be knowledgeable in describing soils and estimating seasonal high water table levels.

This ONLINE session is accepted by ANR for 4 credits of Continuing Education. 

*This is a pre-requisite for the Test Pit Analysis training and taking the State Soils Exam.

LATE REGISTRATIONS: Registration closes two weeks prior to the training start date. Any registration taking place from registration close up to 3 days prior to the start of the training will be assessed a $50 late fee.  

CANCELLATIONS: A charge of $75 will be assessed on any cancellations occurring within 5 days of the start of this session.
