Training Information: CED-0833 - Wetlands Delineation
This five-day training is led by three wetland specialists and is based in part on:
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation manual
- The most recent Supplement for Northeast Region
- The most recent National Wetland Plant List and NRCS Hydric Soil guidance
This comprehensive Wetland Delineation training will cover, through lectures and labs:
- What a wetland is
- Regulations for Vermont wetlands
- Mapping tools for detection of wetlands
- An introduction to the ACOE Wetland Delineation Manual and methodology
- Wetland plant function and identification
- Identification of wetland soils
This training will include field visits to local wetlands, and field practice with identification, form and function evaluations, and overall delineation of wetland areas.
REGISTRATION: Registration closes two (2) weeks before the training starts. Any registrations from the initial close up to five (5) days before the start will be assessed a $50 late registration fee. No registrations within five days of the training.
CANCELATION: Cancelations occurring within five (5) days of the training start will be assessed a $100 cancelation fee. No refunds are given for no-shows.
