PHIL 250: Ethics in Engineering and Science

This course centers on the ethical issues of particular concern to both citizens and professionals involved in engineering and related technical/scientific fields. We review ethical history and ethical theory in all class discussions. The major focus of the course, however, is on ethical dilemmas, case studies, and codes relevant to contemporary engineering and scientific practice.

PLEASE NOTE: The Extension option advertised below should NOT be purchased at the same time you purchase this course. Any extensions purchased along with your initial course registration will be cancelled and refunded. Extensions will be allowed closer to the 9 month completion date. An extension information email will be sent one month prior to your end date.

Schedule: Upon receiving access to your course, you will have 3 to 9 months to complete. Course access is typically granted within 5-7 business days. Work at your own pace.

Cancellation Policy

Withdrawals received 1 to 30 calendar days after your registration date will be refunded 100% of the course tuition. Withdrawals received 31 to 60 calendar days after your registration date will be refunded 50% of the course tuition. No refunds are available if UND receives your Withdrawal after 61+ calendar days after your registration date. The 1-time UND Admission Fee of $35 is non-refundable.
