T&L 2900: VIR: Cultivating Genius

In this course, students will learn the four-layered framework-identity, skills, development, intellect and criticality-as they design historically responsive learning goals and lesson plans to reach all young students, especially students of color who traditionally have been marginalized by learning standards, government policies and school practices.

More Info: Lisa Nordick has an M.S. in Educational Leadership from North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota. Her Master's Paper focused on established Continuing Education Unit practices of North Dakota University System institutions. Nordick has extensive experience in distance education, including online and blended learning environments. She also has extensive experience in educational needs assessment along with curriculum and program development and implementation. Nordick has been active in providing professional development opportunities for educators for more than 15 years.
