T&L 2900: WFPS District New Teacher Course Elementary Level

This course will support teachers in their first year of teaching in West Fargo Public Schools and set them up for success in subsequent years. Teachers will engage in practices that support student learning and teacher knowledge. Teachers will be given time to network with other new teachers, build relationships, and learn about WFPS's instructional practices to enhance their instruction. Teachers will increase their knowledge of PLC's, formative assessment, conferences, report cards, MTSS, engagement, working with students with special needs, interactive modeling, and more. Imbedded in the course will be structures that teachers can use within their classroom setting.  Teachers will be trained using collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity that will carry into the classroom. Instructional strategies will encourage engagement and 21st Century learning in the classroom while aligning curriculum based on the North Dakota State Standards.

Course will be help at LE Berger Elementary School.  Teachers will sign up for credit if they want to and have completed all the expectations.

Cancellation Policy

If UND receives the Course Withdrawal Form 7 or more calendar days before the learning event start date, the fee paid to UND Professional Development for Educators minus a $35 processing fee will be refunded. If the fee paid to UND is less than $100 the processing fee will be waived. NO REFUNDS are available if a withdrawal notification is received 6 or less calendar days before the learning event start date.
