T&L 2900: One Sound Many Spellings

This course delves into vowel teams and r-controlled syllable types  and the various sounds they can produce, which is valuable knowledge for educators, teachers, and parents. It features six humorous sentences to illustrate the distinct sounds produced by the vowel team sounds /ae/, /ee/, /ie/, and /oe/, each having a single vowel sound. However, the long /ue/ sound can create two different long vowel sounds, requiring caution when introducing these complexities to younger students. This awareness primarily targets educators and parents seeking to enhance their understanding of phonetics. This is an online course.

In addition to the $50 UND credit fee, applicants will be required to pay a separate $100 course fee to the instructor. The course fee will be coordinated by the instructor following registering at this site.
