T&L 2900: MC: North Dakota Petroleum Council Teacher Education Seminar 2024

The Teacher Education Seminar expands participating teachers' knowledge of the North Dakota oil and gas industry, from its prehistoric beginnings to the final product. The seminar covers various aspects of the industry including history, geology, physics, engineering, production issues, refining and marketing, employment needs, and the impact of oil tax on state tax revenues, policy decisions and the state's budget surplus. Educators have numerous hands-on activities including oil rig, well site, and refinery tours. 

Participants are required to submit a two-page paper explaining how they plan to use information from the course in their classroom.

Cancellation Policy

If UND receives the Course Withdrawal Form 7 or more calendar days before the learning event start date, the fee paid to UND Professional Development for Educators minus a $35 processing fee will be refunded. If the fee paid to UND is less than $100 the processing fee will be waived. NO REFUNDS are available if a withdrawal notification is received 6 or less calendar days before the learning event start date.
