T&L 2900: Add+Vantage Math Recovery Course I
The course will cover the Learning Framework in Number; the Add+VantageMR® assessments for Number Words and Numerals, Structuring Numbers, and Addition and Subtraction; and the Classroom Instructional Framework for Early Number. The classroom Instructional Framework for Early Number will provide detailed guidance for teachers in thedevelopment of instructional sequences. Teachers learn to administer and use diagnostic interviews to understand student number knowledge and arithmetic strategies, to select appropriate settings and activities for instruction based on the students' current understanding and to track students' mathematical advancements over time. Teachers employ a constructivist approach to the teaching of Mathematics. Collegial sharing and working with a school learning team are integral parts of this course to support teacher growth.
