T&L 2900: ONL: Adolescent Development

Early adolescence is an exciting time with physical, intellectual, emotional, moral, and social changes. Examine these changes and how they affect the developmental and educational needs of the young adolescent.

Through this online course, you will:

  • explore and analyze the unique developmental stages of the early adolescent.
  • demonstrate how school structure and instructional methods can meet the developmental needs of adolescents. Learn how to enhance school success by meeting the cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and moral developmental needs of adolescents.
  • devise a plan of action using knowledge and research of adolescent development that will enhance, improve, and fulfill the needs of adolescents within the educational structure.

This course applies to the voluntary Middle School Endorsement Requirements as stated by the North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board.
