T&L 2900: VIR: Foundations for Technology Integration

What now? So what? So often teachers will attend professional development sessions or workshops and hear about wonderfully innovative ideas for integrating technology into their classroom units, lessons, and/or tasks. However, after leaving these types of events, teachers come away feeling like they have the will and the drive to want to take on this challenge in their own classrooms but with no idea where to start. The task of planning for and executing this type of integration becomes extremely overwhelming leading to teachers abandoning the idea altogether and continuing to use their current lesson plans. This course will provide teachers the guidance and structure they need to take the "plunge" into technology integration. By the end of this course, teachers will better understand the concept of effective technology integration, the TPACK framework, and using technology to support and fulfill student standards.
