This course will support educators in their first year of teaching at a secondary school within West Fargo Public Schools. Educators will engage in practices that support learners and educators' knowledge. The classroom environment poses many challenges for new educators and a focus on CHAMPS will be reviewed and discussed in each class. Educators will also be given time to network with other educators, build relationships, and learn about WFPS's instructional practices to enhance their instruction. Educators will increase their knowledge of getting started in teaching, technology, formative assessment, conferences, report cards, MTSS, engagement, and more. Educators will be trained using collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity that will be carried into their instruction. These strategies will encourage engagement and 21st Century learning while aligning curriculum based on the North Dakota State Standards.
