In today's current educational climate, it is more important than ever to prioritize teacher mental health and school culture. As a rural school, teacher retention and retention strategies are always at the forefront of our long-term school planning. The combination of these two books, "The Energy Bus for Schools" and "The Teacher's Guide to Self-Care," will not create opportunities for discussion amongst colleagues, but will also serve to energize our school culture/staff and build resilience in our teachers to avoid teacher burn out. We will use a combination of discussion, reflective writing, listening, and reading to become a stronger, more cohesive educational team.
