T&L 2900: Essentials of Math Instruction 2026-27

A three-day training sequence engages math teachers (grades 4-8) in studying the progression of learning across middle grades and the key competencies of problem solving, connections, and reasoning and proof. Each session engages participants in experiential-based learning with participants completing activities from high-quality instructional materials through the viewpoint of students and re ecting from an instructional and pedagogical lens.

There are 2 days offered for each session as part of this 3-day PD Series to accomodate sub shortages in schools:
  • September 25 Session #1 NDCOUNTS TRAINING Day 1
  • October 12 Session #1 NDCOUNTS TRAINING Day 1
  • November 16 Session #2 NDCOUNTS TRAINING Day 2 
  • January 11 Session #2 NDCOUNTS TRAINING Day 2 
  • February 8 Session #3 NDCOUNTS TRAINING Day 3 
  • March 22 Session #3 NDCOUNTS TRAINING Day 3

Cancellation Policy

If UND receives the Course Withdrawal Form 7 or more calendar days before the learning event start date, the fee paid to UND Professional Development for Educators minus a $35 processing fee will be refunded. If the fee paid to UND is less than $100 the processing fee will be waived. NO REFUNDS are available if a withdrawal notification is received 6 or less calendar days before the learning event start date.
