This course will support educators in their first year of teaching at West Fargo Public Schools. Educators will engage in practices that support learner learning and educator knowledge. Classroom management poses many challenges for new educators and a focus on CHAMPS will be reviewed and discussed at each class. Educators will also be given time to network with other new educators, build relationships, and learn about WFPS's instructional practices to enhance their instruction. Educators will increase their knowledge of getting started in teaching, technology, formative assessment, conferences, report cards, MTSS, and engagement. Educators will be trained using collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity that will carry into the classroom. Instructional strategies will encourage engagement and 21st Century learning in the classroom while aligning curriculum based on the North Dakota State Standards.
