Karina Barley is an Australian teacher with more than 20 years of experience in both mainstream and special education schools. Her interest in autism and how to provide better educational opportunities for her students with autism led her to utilize iPads in both the curriculum and in the classroom.
Karina completed her Master in Education majoring in technology and education and also trialled the use of iPads in her classroom for an entire year. She is currently engaged in conducting professional development for teachers in both primary and secondary schools in Victoria, Australia, and also works as an autism consultant. Karina partnered with Digital Learning Tree in 2012 to develop an iPad course that focuses on how to use the iPad within the Common Core Standards.
