Heather Slee has a BA in English literature and an MA in English with a concentration on instruction and composition. Before creating content for Hoonuit, Heather developed training materials at another company for sales and leadership, which included topics on time management, communication, recognition, and various software skills. Heather then worked in Hoonuit's marketing department briefly before becoming the writing center coordinator for a local technical and community college, where she also was an adjunct instructor for a composition course in the General Education department. She then found her way back to Hoonuit and has been designing and developing series and learning modules for the past eight years.

Heather also enjoys freelance writing and is a published author. She lives in Bellingham, WA with her husband, Ryan, their daughter, Norah, and their two cats, Mongo and Venom.

We'll take a close look at the doctrine of fair use, especially as it applies in an educational setting. We'll also explore how to determine if a web resource is credible, how to cross-check sources for accuracy, differentiate between fact and opinion, and determine whether a source is timely, objective, and may have a conflict of interest.
