T&L 2900: WoodCock Johnson Test of Cognitive and Achievement Skills

Training teachers to administer and interpret the Woodcock-Johnson (WJ-IV) Tests involves equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct standardized assessments accurately and apply results effectively. The training covers understanding the test's cognitive and achievement batteries, mastering standardized administration procedures, and ensuring accurate scoring using both manual calculations and computer software. Teachers learn to interpret test scores, analyze cognitive strengths and weaknesses, and identify patterns that inform instructional decisions, special education eligibility, and intervention planning. Emphasis is placed on ethical considerations, confidentiality, and effective communication of results to parents and colleagues. Through hands-on practice, mock assessments, and guided supervision, teachers gain the proficiency needed to use WJ-IV results to support student learning and academic success.
