T&L 2900: Features of Effective Math Instruction Workshop Part 2: Retention

Features of Effective Mathematics Instruction Part 2 Retention will focus on research proven instructional strategies that increase students' retention of their learning.  Participants will study the research behind the curve of forgetting and how retrieval practice can be used to move learning from short term to long term memory.  Teachers will draft a SLOT (spaced learning over time) instructional plan based on current retention instructional research. Several research validated instructional retrieval activities will be presented for teachers to consider as they develop their own learning retention plans.

Cancellation Policy

If UND receives the Course Withdrawal Form 7 or more calendar days before the learning event start date, the fee paid to UND Professional Development for Educators minus a $35 processing fee will be refunded. If the fee paid to UND is less than $100 the processing fee will be waived. NO REFUNDS are available if a withdrawal notification is received 6 or less calendar days before the learning event start date.
