STREAM ED

This three-day workshop will engage elementary educators in place-based educational practices focused on the local watershed. By integrating the North Dakota Native American Essential Understandings and experiencing the River of Dreams canoe launch program, participants will experience interdisciplinary, community relevant instructional strategies and activities that they can apply directly to their classrooms. Not only will they experience these approaches as active learners, but they will also have the opportunity to develop and enhance their own curriculum to embed a connection to place. Participants will receive all materials, supplies, and texts necessary for the workshop.
