TTaDA: DEI in Disciplines: The Use of Land Acknowledgment Acts in Geography Courses

In this session, Dr. Douglas Munski of UND's Geography department will share his course activities around the use of land acknowledgment acts at both UND and beyond. Building upon principles from last May's anti-racism workshop, Dr. Munski will demonstrate how discussion and analysis of land grant acknowledgments can raise student awareness around shifting borders, boundaries, and cultures and that geography is anything but static. Come join us to learn more about land acknowledgements and how you can use UND's statement to raise awareness around inclusion in any discipline.
