T&L 2900: Steps to Assessment for Students with Hearing Loss
Educating students with hearing loss has changed dramatically since the advent of early identification, early amplification options and the ever-changing, ever-evolving hearing technologies. It is imperative that Teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing continue to be involved in professional development that addresses the needs of their unique and diverse population.
The goal of this book study is to address the knowledge areas and skills impacted by hearing loss and to improve assessment procedures to identify the adverse educational effect of hearing loss in the six targeted areas that are considerations for access, communication and eligibility for hearing impaired services.
