Deliver Projects on Time, Within Budget, and to Scope

Scope, cost, and schedule management are the foundation of any successful project. In this course, aligned with the PMBOK® Guide - 7th Edition, you'll focus on the Project Performance Domains of Planning, Delivery, and Measurement, along with the Principles of Focus on Value, Tailor Based on Context, and Stewardship.

Through hands-on exercises, you'll master tools and techniques to define deliverables, develop realistic schedules, and track progress with earned value management. You'll also learn how to control scope changes, maintain budget accuracy, and use data-driven insights to keep projects on track and aligned with stakeholder expectations.

What You Will Learn:

• Define and document deliverables for clear project scope

• Estimate duration and resources to create achievable schedules

• Apply task-tracking, schedule sorting, and crashing techniques

• Manage scope changes and their impact on project objectives

• Use earned value measures and performance indexes to monitor progress

• Build and interpret S-curve charts for trend analysis

• Implement scope controls within a work breakdown structure

This course provides 21 of the 35 contact hours of formal project management education required to apply for the PMP® exam, making it a key milestone in your certification journey. It is also included in the Project Management Certificate and Test and Evaluation Certificate.

The Project Management Institute (PMI) recently updated the PMP® certification exam. In response, UAH Professional and Continuing Education is redesigning its Project Management Certificate Program to align with the updated exam content and better prepare learners who intend to pursue PMP certification. New courses that align with the necessary exam prep for the updated PMP® certification exam should be available for registration in coming weeks.

The current courses and certificate program is still being offered and remains an excellent option for professionals seeking to develop or strengthen their project management knowledge and skills. Learners interested in applying project management principles in their current or future roles will continue to benefit from the program's comprehensive coverage of project management concepts and best practices.
