Master the Art of Risk and Quality for Project Success

Strong risk management and quality practices are essential to delivering projects on time, within scope, and with lasting value. This course, aligned with the PMBOK® Guide - 7th Edition, focuses on the Project Performance Domains of Planning, Delivery, and Measurement, as well as the Principles of Stakeholder Engagement, Adaptability & Resilience, and Quality.

You'll learn how to identify, analyze, and monitor risks throughout a project's life cycle, while also developing proactive quality management strategies that prevent costly rework. Through practical exercises, you'll apply proven tools and techniques to strengthen decision-making and implement systematic quality controls that improve outcomes.

What You Will Learn:

• Monitor and manage project risks throughout the life cycle

• Apply uncertainty analysis, network analysis, and quantitative decision-making methods

• Use decision trees to evaluate and choose the best risk responses

• Develop and implement risk mitigation approaches

• Design effective quality management plans using flowcharting and systematic controls

This course provides 21 of the 35 contact hours of formal project management education required to apply for the PMP® exam, making it a key milestone in your certification journey. It is also included in the Project Management Certificate.

The Project Management Institute (PMI) recently updated the PMP® certification exam. In response, UAH Professional and Continuing Education is redesigning its Project Management Certificate Program to align with the updated exam content and better prepare learners who intend to pursue PMP certification. New courses that align with the necessary exam prep for the updated PMP® certification exam should be available for registration in coming weeks.

The current courses and certificate program is still being offered and remains an excellent option for professionals seeking to develop or strengthen their project management knowledge and skills. Learners interested in applying project management principles in their current or future roles will continue to benefit from the program's comprehensive coverage of project management concepts and best practices.
