Explore Hadrian's Wall Path, an 84-mile UNESCO World Heritage trail built by the Roman Legion, and St. Oswald's Way, an ancient pilgrimage route through Northumberland's countryside, quaint villages and castles built in the 11th-14th centuries, ending at Holy Island (Lindisfarne).
