Course Detail: 175HISTORIC - 175 Historic Home Stories of Grand Rapids - ADDED CLASS

Barely saved from the wrecking ball during Urban Renewal, explore Grand Rapids' Heritage Hill, one of the largest historic districts in the nation. Named as the "Best Old-House Neighborhood in Michigan," it has 1,300 dazzling homes, dating back to 1843. "The Hill" was the elite place to build, filled with one-of-a-kind homes that reflect the personalities of the people who built them. These mansions were the dream homes of lumber barons, railroad owners, entrepreneurs, inventors who changed the world, and others who created institutions that are still important in the US today. See the homes inside and out, along with hearing the stories of the people who lived in them.
