Course Detail: 173LIFE - 173 LIFE: A Participatory Discussion of Change and Growth - ADDED CLASS
A very popular 70's video called " What You Are is Where You Were Then", by Dr. Morris Massey, focused on the critical influence of our parental and societal tutelage in early childhood and teenage years.Have you stayed on that early course or have life experiences; education, OLLI, travel, work, family etc, caused you to venture out and take a new approach as you grew and reached OLLI age ( a new place to learn)? In this class we will tap into a wealth of group knowledge and discuss how, if and why we modified our early standards and who we are today. Our Individual sharing will offer a new lens for all of us to assess and grow. Here are a few of the questions we'll pose: 1) has your faith or spirituality evolved, how and why, 2) have you changed your view of humans in relation to the universe, good and evil, or the source of morality, how. 3) what has been your most influential concept, person, book or experience and Why 4) what changes in the USA, globe, societal norms and the cosmos that make you fearful, how and why?We encourage the class to suggest topics for future classes.
