Course Detail: KOREANWAR - 383 The Korean War: The Forgotten Conflict

Often called the "Forgotten War," the Korean War (1950-1953) was a pivotal conflict that shaped the course of the Cold War and set the stage for tensions that remain on the Korean Peninsula today. This course will examine the war's origins, key battles and major players, as well as its lasting impact on global politics and U.S. foreign policy. Participants will also explore the human stories behind the headlines - how soldiers, civilians and nations were affected by a war that ended without a peace treaty and continues to influence international relations.
