Meet at 1673 Preuss Rd., Hemlock (Shepherd Organic Farm) Join the owners of Shepherd Organic Farm in Hemlock for a lesson on the importance of organic farming and the history of their farm. As you stroll around the farm, a supplier to restaurants such as the Maple Grille, you will learn about disease and pest control, succession planting, season extensions, how to gain an organic certification, the importance of pastured poultry, and why the Shepherds do what they do. Come away with your very own memento from the farm, spring mix and a piece of chicken. If weather conditions are unfavorable, this program may be cancelled. Participation is limited to 20 people.
