Course Detail: 80JACOBSONS - 80 Exploring a Site: Jacobson's Department Store - IN PERSON

Explore a recently created outdoor exhibit exploring the history of the 200 block of South Jefferson Avenue, the former Saginaw Jacobson's department store. The display, mounted on the exterior of the building, features large scale reproductions of historic photographs from the Castle Museum's collection and enables viewers to understand the history of this site. Partners in this project include The Downtown Development Authority, Downtown Saginaw Association, Shaheen Development and the Public Libraries of Saginaw. The tour will feature a PowerPoint presentation about Saginaw's 1955 store. After the tour, participants will be provided lunch from Dawn of a New Day and are also free to tour the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History. Will include about 8 blocks of walking. Participation limited to 10.
