No image available Biography: James Redmond has 19 years of experience working as a Wind Turbine Technician and Remediation System Operator. He is certified in high access rescue for the wind turbines and has more than 9 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center wind turbines at Joint Base Cape Cod. James has a Bachelor of Science degree in Facilities and Plant Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a primary focus on power generation and treatment plant operations and maintenance.

This course is taught in cooperation with Relyon Nutec under their GWO approval and is delivered in Blended Learning Format. This course consists of five modules: Working at Heights, First Aid, Sea Survival, Manual Handling, and Fire Awareness. PARTICIPANTS MUST COMPLETE BLENDED LEARNING NO LATER THAN 48 HOURS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL ON CAMPUS. Students will be weighed and must be 275lbs or less in order to not exceed the rating of fall protection equipment. PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR LONG PANTS, SAFETY SHOES, AND BRING WORK GLOVES AND SAFETY GLASSES. PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING A TOWEL AND A CHANGE OF CLOTHES FOR THE SEA SURVIVAL MODULE AS THEY WILL GET WET.

This course is taught in cooperation with Relyon Nutec under their GWO approval. This course is a refresher that is needed every two years after completing the full GWO Basic Safety Training course. THIS COURSE IS TAUGHT IN BLENDED LEARNING FORMAT. STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE ONLINE TRAINING PRIOR TO ATTENDING IN PERSON SESSIONS. Students will be weighed and must be 275lbs or less in order to be within the rating of fall protection equipment.
