Course Detail: YES-1436 - The Design Zone (Grades 4-6)
In the Design Zone, students step into the roles of architects and interior designers to conceptualize, draft, and build their own miniature environments. Students begin by learning the fundamentals of spatial planning and scale drawing, translating their creative visions from 2D sketches into detailed blueprints. The class culminates in a hands-on construction phase where they use various materials to create 3D architectural models, focusing on how form and function interact within a space. By the end of the program, students gain a practical understanding of geometry, engineering, and the design thinking process.
