Withdrawals: Failure to participate in a course or program does not constitute withdrawal. Participants may withdraw and receive a full refund if requested by August 15. After that point, no refunds will be given. Substitutions are permitted with prior notice. Withdrawals are accepted by phone at 217-524-6749. Certificates will be available 14 business days after the event has concluded. You will receive an email with instructions on how to access your certificate once they are ready. Senior Technology Safety Specialist

Biography: Laisa Schweigert is a Senior Technology Safety Specialist with the Safety Net Project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), where she provides training and technical assistance to victim service providers and allied professionals on topics such as confidentiality and the safer use of technology to support survivors of violence. Prior to joining Safety Net, Laisa worked for the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA), where she was responsible for providing technical assistance to rape crisis centers across the state of Illinois. She began her work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Arizona, where she worked as an advocate, educator, and research assistant. Laisa holds a M.A. in Social Justice and Human Rights and a B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University.
