Biography: Laisa Schweigert is a Senior Technology Safety Specialist with the Safety Net Project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), where she provides training and technical assistance to victim service providers and allied professionals on topics such as confidentiality and the safer use of technology to support survivors of violence. Prior to joining Safety Net, Laisa worked for the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA), where she was responsible for providing technical assistance to rape crisis centers across the state of Illinois. She began her work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Arizona, where she worked as an advocate, educator, and research assistant. Laisa holds a M.A. in Social Justice and Human Rights and a B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University. |
