Information

Our speaker will be Michael Wiant, Ph.D., whose 35-year career at the Illinois State Museum included roles as head of anthropology, director of the Dickson Mounds museum and interim director of the state museum itself. His research interests include Native American cultural development, landscape history, and the impact of Euro-American settlement on the Indigenous inhabitants of Illinois.
