Information

ALL is pleased to be site of the opening and closing presentations in a series recognizing the 250th anniversary of the United States. The series, "History Belongs to All of Us," is hosted by the Illinois State Historical Society with funding from Illinois Humanities. ALL's Chautauqua program will coordinate the kickoff conversation, "America 250: The Declaration of Independence," featuring Dr. Brian Mitchell, historian and facilitator of the ISHS/IH series. The event will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, in Kreher 1115/1117. The Illinois State Historical Society is one of 12 organizations throughout Illinois selected to host "History Belongs to All of Us" programs as part of the state's commemoration of the nation's 250th anniversary. Dates and locations of the other three programs will be announced later. All programs are free and open to the public.
