Course: AFIA 500C: Pelleting, Processing and Boilers

This session examines the benefits of pelleting, purpose of conditioning, principles of conditioning as well as pellet mills and pellet die specifications.  Other topics covered are types of pellet coolers, their general function, and factors that affect efficiency. The Post Pellet Liquid Application (PPLA) segment covers the types of equipment used and batching. The session also covers boiler and steam definitions and energy balance, water treatment, boiler designs, and steam harness. 


Activities within the course are self-paced however all activities and requirements must be completed within 30 days from registration.
