Think big and aim high! Students will design, build and launch their own weather balloons to collect real-time data from the sky. As the balloons soar, students will discover how weather patterns affect energy use and why sunshine and wind matter so much for powering our world. After the launch, students will dive into their data to see how renewable energy systems like solar and wind depend on the weather. Through hands-on exploration and group discussion, this class connects science, sustainability and climate in an exciting, sky-high adventure. Ages 14-17.
