Explore how Social Security supports you throughout life's journey. This seminar explains what FICA is and how it funds Social Security, how you become eligible for Social Security retirement benefits and what benefits may be available to spouses and survivors. Participants will also learn about Social Security disability benefits, Medicare and how these programs work together to provide financial and health security. In addition, the class covers how to access Social Security online resources, how to contact the Social Security Administration for assistance and how to recognize and protect yourself against identity theft and scams.
