Course Detail: MGT.3816 - Teaching Student Advocacy Skills

This seminar will cover areas under the Illinois Teaching and Learning Standards, Leveraging Student Advocacy. Common areas of concern mentioned by students are their own mental wellness, uncertainty about the future, social relationships and academic performance. Participants will be given examples for integrating SEL competencies into core academic instruction, as well as guiding students on developing a self-advocacy plan. This seminar will include material appropriate for middle and high school level students. Earns 2.5 PD credits.
