Course Detail: LLC.140 - Around the World: Movement & Creativity Vocational Skills/After 22
Movement & Creativity is an engaging and inclusive class designed for adults aged 18 and older to build practical vocational and life skills in a supportive, social environment. Each session combines movement, creativity, and hands-on learning centered around a fun, theme-based structure. Participants will begin each class with ice breakers to foster connection and community, followed by energizing movement activities such as dance, group exercise, or stretching-each aligned with the day's theme. The core of the class focuses on themed projects or experiences ranging from arts and crafts to science experiments and real-world vocational tasks. The day wraps up with a group reflection, giving participants a chance to celebrate their efforts. This class collaborates with the cooking and art classes, with all activities tied to a shared theme each week-bringing movement, food, and art together to create a rich, multi-sensory learning experience. This class supports social-emotional learning, fine and gross motor skills, and practical independence, all while keeping things fun and dynamic.
