Sports Biomechanics is an introductory course designed to introduce physical educators and coaches to the basic principles of biomechanics and their applications to human movement in sport and exercise. In simplest terms it is described as the physics of sports where the laws of mechanics are applied in order to gain a greater understanding of athletic performance.
This course is designed to strengthen participants' awareness and response to students who are victims of violence and aggression in our schools, as well as students who respond to conflicts and difficulties with undue aggression and bullying behavior. CASEL defines Social and Emotional Learning as the 'process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and share empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships and make responsible decisions.
